Role Overview
The Area Sales Manager will lead, manage, and optimize sales operations in the Southern Province. The role focuses on expanding customer acquisition, maintaining repayment performance, mentoring teams, and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Field Sales Managers and Field Agents in assigned sales areas
- Achieve sales growth and manage team performance
- Implement effective sales strategies
- Help shops expand into new sales channels (e.g., schools, community markets)
- Train and mentor Field Sales Managers and new recruits
- Support recruitment and training of Field Agents
- Conduct shop visits to ensure quality and standards
- Maintain high repayment percentages
- Submit daily and monthly sales reports
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience
- Proven experience in a senior sales role
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiarity with PAYGO systems (an advantage)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of sales performance metrics
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
