Purpose of the Role:

The Storeman is responsible for handling incoming shipments, verifying their contents, inspecting for damages, and ensuring accurate inventory records. They also coordinate distribution and storage of goods within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments
• Verify contents against purchase orders/invoices
• Record damages or discrepancies
• Update inventory system (D365)
• Label and store received goods
• Coordinate with departments for timely distribution
• Adhere to safety and PPE standards
• Operate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks)
• Maintain records and prepare reports
• Perform additional tasks as required

Qualifications & Experience:

• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Advanced Certificate in Purchasing & Supply (Diploma preferred)
• Minimum 2 years’ warehousing experience
• Valid Silicosis certificate

Key Competencies:

• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Dynamics AX
• Organizational and time management skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments
