Helios Towers is a major telecommunications infrastructure company operating across 9 markets in Africa and the Middle East. It builds, owns, and manages telecom towers to support mobile network operators.
Job Purpose:
Lead the organization’s tax and treasury functions to ensure financial integrity, compliance, and efficient fund management.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Management
- Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.
- Monitor tax law changes and advise management.
- Optimize tax positions and minimize risk.
- Handle tax audits and maintain compliance documentation.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external advisors.
Treasury Operations
- Manage daily cash flow and liquidity.
- Oversee banking relationships and funding.
- Forecast and track cash positions.
- Develop strategies for surplus funds.
- Ensure timely payments and policy compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Tax, or related field
- Certified Accountant with tax credentials
- Experience from a Big 4 audit firm preferred
- Proficient in tax accounting and IFRS
- Minimum of 4 years in a finance/tax environment
- Industry exposure in multi-market or telecom sectors is an advantage
Skills Required:
- Tax and treasury expertise
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- ERP experience (e.g., SAP)
- Knowledge of local and international tax regulations
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
- Integrity, attention to detail, and adaptability
