Job Description:

The primary role of the Cashier is to process customer transactions in a retail or service environment. This includes scanning items, handling different payment methods, issuing receipts, and providing customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transaction Processing: Scan items, calculate prices, and process payments accurately.
• Payment Handling: Accept payments via cash, credit cards, debit cards, etc.
• Customer Service: Respond to inquiries, provide product information, and manage returns or exchanges.
• Checkout Maintenance: Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and stocked.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate transaction records and balance the cash register.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma in Business Administration, Accountancy, or related field
• Basic math and computer skills, including proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Strong customer service skills, including patience and effective communication
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Good work ethic, punctuality, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
