Job Purpose:
Conduct field inspections and verify pledged or warehoused collateral to ensure quality, quantity, and proper storage in line with bank policy.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform regular and risk-based collateral inspections
- Prepare inspection reports noting any risks or discrepancies
- Verify legal and physical status of new collateral
- Monitor value fluctuations and under-collateralization risks
- Identify signs of tampering or collusion
- Maintain detailed documentation and photo records
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Finance, Economics, or Supply Chain
- Certification in asset valuation or auditing is a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in asset inspection or collateral verification
- Background in agricultural lending or warehouse operations is preferred
Key Skills:
- Understanding of collateral asset types (e.g., agricultural produce, inventory)
- Strong inspection, reporting, and documentation skills
- Willingness to travel and work in remote areas
- Familiarity with digital tools for reporting and inspections
