Job Description:
The HR Business Partner will play a pivotal role in aligning the people strategy with organizational goals. This position works closely with business leaders to understand their workforce needs, challenges, and objectives, providing expert HR advice to enhance employee productivity, talent management, and engagement. The role also includes coaching managers to strengthen their people management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for employees and managers on workplace concerns, resolving conflicts and grievances effectively.
- Promote initiatives to boost employee engagement, morale, and overall job satisfaction.
- Uphold company policies while ensuring fair and consistent treatment of all employees.
- Foster a culture of high performance by recognizing talent, managing underperformance, and aligning team behaviors with company values.
- Support organizational change by facilitating smooth transitions and encouraging employee adoption of new processes.
- Oversee performance management processes including goal setting, evaluations, and improvement plans.
- Collaborate with managers to identify, develop, and retain top talent.
- Partner with stakeholders to implement HR strategies across assigned divisions.
- Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for people-related matters to support business success.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in human resources within a dynamic, competitive environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business data and link it to HR strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of the Tanzanian banking sector, including products, services, and regulations.
- Proven experience as a reliable HR advisor with a track record of supporting organizational people strategies.
- Comprehensive understanding of labor laws and HR best practices including talent management and employee relations.
- Ability to lead change initiatives and influence across all organizational levels.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree and CHRP certification are preferred.
